At work I can attest to the fact that hitting a forecast is like hitting a hole in one in golf. It happens very infrequently. I think my brother hit as many hole in ones as I did forecasts last year.
With that in mind take a look at the Obama campaign forecasts that were mistakenly leaked out a month ago before Super Tuesday for this past Tuesday's election. He nailed it. The race has changed a lot over the course of the last month, but to have nailed it so closely far out tells you a lot about how sophisticated these campaigns are. So let's look at the numbers:
Incidentally, they are forecasting a 52-47 loss in Pennsylvania.
