Mixed Bag

The posts have been a little sporadic of late since I am still a little wiped out and recovering. Today we have another mixed bag (and a short one at that).

The iPhone with it's new upgrades are great, especially when viewing sites built for iPhone. The sites are getting better and better but I just have one question. Why isn't there an iPhone optimized version of Apple.com? Boy is their site tough to use on an iPhone.

James Posey's departure from the Celtics is pretty tough and he will be missed, but in this case you can't argue with either side's logic. James is 31 years old and never made the big money, who can blame him for chasing the money on his last NBA contract. But one can hardly argue that the Celtics did the wrong thing by not offering a 31 year old player a 4 year contract. They need to start mixing some youth into this heavily veteran team.

I don't know about you, but when I hear John McCain talk about winning and losing in Iraq I get annoyed. What is winning? Ensuring there were no WMD? check. Liberating the Iraqi people from a tyrant? check. Establishing stability? Didn't they have that before the invasion? I'd like for some definition about what winning in Iraq is in the context of why we went in in the first place. After knowing that, I'll be happy to hear about winning and losing.

Another thing I do not understand is the intense dislike some people have for Michelle Obama. It's not has if she has killed someone (sorry Laura).

Chris Matthews took a lot of flak for saying listening to Barack Obama speak makes his legs tingle. Ok, that's a little creepy, but let me be the first to say "the thought of Barack Obama giving his acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention on the 45th anniversary of Martin Luther King's I have a dream speech in front of 80,000 people gives me the chills"
