YouTube Video of the Week

Two Sarah Silverman YouTube videos in a row. This one equally offensive (and funny).

Sometimes I don't find her one bit funny, other times I find her icredibly funny. Chalk this up as funny.

Not for the easily offended.

YouTube Video of the Week

The other night I was flipping channels when I saw the Sopranos playing on A&E. Watching the Sopranos on A&E just isn't the same. The edited version seemed something like this.

Quick Links

Ok, I have been accused of being too political lately. %@&* you Jim. Anyways, here are some non politcal quick links:

I always like articles like this that compare players across generations. This one is about Rawlings attempt at fielding an all time gold glove team. Leading to the the better question of "who is Wes Parker?"

Slate has an article on a popular Football news site that was the lead on the Michael Vick story. The article claims that this site is the best source for football news. Here's the article (Slate) and here is the actual football site(Pro Football Talk). It is largely run by one person and is considered the best insider information. Why have I never heard of this site????

It's bring your own cupcakes Friday for Artie Lange fans like myself. When Artie Lange Hosts 'Friday Night Stand-Up' on Comedy Central. It will be followed by the television premiere of Beer League. For those of you that didn't spend you 15th wedding anniversary in a Times Square movie theatre with 5 other patrons watching the movie, this is your chance.

Here's Artie doing the William Shatner Roast.

How'd I do Jim?

Quick Links

Priodically I am going to post things I have read during the day that I thought were interesting. Here 5 stories worth a read:

Time Magazine article on 5 American soldiers being set up and killed after being betrayed by Iraqi's they were working with. A great read{
An Ambush in Karbala

The Hill article on how Joe Lieberman being critical of Democrats postion on the war. While most sane people are questioning the war more every day, Joe increasingly is in lock step with the administration.
Lieberman escalates attack on Iraq critics

Horrible story of a home invasion in Conneticut that two men are accused of killing a physician's wife and two daughters.
Neighbors Say Connecticut Family Was Targeted By Home Invaders

Sports Guy Bill Simmons has a differnt take on the Garnett trade than I do.
McHale adds another notch to his Celtics legacy

Democracy Corps recently conducted surveys in key battleground districts for 2008 "and the results look like a rerun of 2006 -- an election when Democrats lost no incumbents and swept the competitive seats."
GOP Facing Another Wave

YouTube Video of the Week

When I first saw this on TV, I thought he reminded me when I was in the 6th grade and had a test question asking to use the word gregarious in a sentence. My response was "My teacher asked me to use the word "gregarious" in a sentence"

Ironically, I was a sixth grader and that question was marked wrong. This nitwit got reelected President!

Just admit you don't understand the question you dumbass!!!!!!

Iron Sheik..... Best Guest Ever

For those that know me, you probably know I am a big Howard Stern fan. For those that do not listen, everything you have heard about the show is true. There is a little bit of everything on the show, but it is clearly not for everyone (especially not for my kids).

The thing I like most about Howard Stern it is like hanging out with friends. For my 40 minute commute to work I have listened to Artie gaining 100lbs over the last year, Robin going on a three week liquid diet, Sal's marital problems, and Howard renegging on his vow to never get married again. All the while they have tormented each other relentlessly. The best aspect of the show is it really is like hanging out with friends (insane, troubled, warped friends).

Today's show was maybe one of the funniest a great show because they had two great guests. Tracy Morgan from SNL and an even bigger star....the Iron Sheik.

The Iron Sheik was a wrestler 30 years ago when I was 9 and liked wrestling. Unfortunately, I don't think anyone ever told him it was a character and when his wrestling career was over, he could stop acting. He hasn't stopped, he is still the Iron Sheik.

Today at work I received two emails that basically said nothing else but "Iron Sheik...best guest ever"

Here is another Iron Shiek interview. The video contains a lot of foul language you may want to be careful where you play it. He is also, shall we say a little homophobic. Needless to say, Stern's interview was even more over the top than this.
