116 Too Many

When I started this blog a month ago I did a post on fatality figures in Iraq. One of the things I was shocked to discover was that there were 116 US Military suicides in Iraq. Other than an occasional news story when one of the soldiers is local, I have never heard this reported before.

Today The Huffington Post leads with an article reporting this fact. One more excerpt said there are several dozen more under investigation. Including these suicides, there are 641 non combat US soldier fatalities.

One more Iraq fact that should disgust us all. What has taken so long for some of these facts to get reported?
