The New Al Qaeda Threat??????

It has been several years since Al Qaeda attacked us on 9/11. For the most part, life has returned to normal since then (except at the airport). No one thought on 9/11 that things would ever be the same, but here we are 6 years later and it is almost just an ugly memory.
Over the past couple of days, there have been intelligence reports of "increased chatter" similar to that leading up to 9/11. This is on the heals of a news report last week that the US aborted a large scale attack back in 2005 on Bin Laden and Ayman Al-Zawahri and other leaders because it could effect the stability of Pakistan.
Instead of having an uncomfortable feeling over an impending attack, I am more skeptical than I am nervous. Just as 9/11 burst our feelings of invincibility, the Iraq war has burst our naiveté. Back in 2002 and 2003, any rumor of an increased threat would send the stock market into chaos. Today, the news reports were followed by a big stock market rally.
Can we trust the intelligence reports about the threat or should we treat it with skepticism figuring that intelligence is leaking this as a pretext to have cause to raid the mountain regions of Pakistan or some other reason? That’s one of the problems with this administration; they have so long used intelligence and fear to drive support for their policies, that you readily dismiss any information.
Unfortunately, our luck will run out someday and I am afraid we will have missed signs that could have prevented it because we have become so jaded from years of Bush administration lies and manipulation.

I'll even add a Ron Paul ad for my brother.
