During the debate the other night, Senator McCain took Senator Obama to task for not knowing the difference between tactics and strategy. I thought I could help a little in providing some examples of the differences.
Tactics: actions taken as a means to an end. See John McCain's selection as a VP or his decision to "suspend" his campaign.
Strategy: a series of actions or tactics pulled into a comprehensive plan. See Barack Obama's campaign strategy.
