I always like it when athletes of old show respect for the great athletes of today. I remember Ted Williams talking before his death about how great the players of today are. It is refreshing to see that when too often we see guys like Don Shula that are too consumed with the greatness of yesterday to appreciate the greatness of today.
Today another Teddy Ballgame showed respect for the greatness of today. It would have been far easier to sit on the sidelines for Ted Kennedy than to have confronted the major power in the party and endorse Barack Obama.
Say what you will about Ted Kennedy, but this is a great endorsement that gives Obama a shot in the arm leading into Super Tuesday.
If you haven't had the chance to see the endorsement, it is worth taking a look...

I don't recall ever seeing Ted Kennedy that animated. He seemed to enjoy his own performance.
