Keating Economics

While it is implausible to think that Bill Ayers has any relevance to Obama's beliefs other than at one point they plotted education reform together, a more relevant association is McCain's association with Charles Keating.

Even though the association was 18 years ago, it is relevant for two reasons.

1. McCain's ties to lobbyists run rampant through his campaign.

2. The look the other way philosophy that he pushed for in that banking scandal was also a characteristic of our current crisis. What in McCain's background tells you that he is willing to put in the necessary oversight to safeguard what is left of the banking industry?

Barack's campaign put out the following web video to highlight the all too close ties.

Of course, no one is going to shout Terrorist or Kill him at Obama rallies over this like they do at McCain's rallies.
