Two days ago Michelle Bachman opened up a firestorm by suggesting Barack Obama wasn't a good American and that the mdeial should investigate members of Congress that might also be anti American. Predictably sane America was outraged and in the next 48 hours her opponent in her Congressional district took in over $500k in donations.
To continue the dialogue about what she said, this is an interview Colin Powell gave coming out of MTP where he blasted her for her comments.
and sensing a firestorm, Michelle Bachman tries to "clarify" her statement by lying.
This is the new standard we have set for ourselves. George Bush passes the baton to Sarah Palin who passes the baton to Michelle Bachman. Maybe in 2012 it can be a Palin Bachman ticket.
